At Höegh Evi, we have a culture where safety is a core value and never compromised. We are committed to zero harm to people and the environment, guided by the belief that all incidents are preventable. Our Code of Conduct promotes accountability, open communication, and empowers employees to speak up. These are some highlights of how we maintain a safe and supportive working environment:
To uphold safety, we:
- Foster a zero-harm culture through training, Toolbox Talks, and the safer Together program
- Apply our OHSE Policy (aligned with ISO 45001) across all operations, supported by audits and monitoring
- Ensure consistent safety standards through our OHS system and ISM Code- certified vessel operations
- Reinforce accountability by linking safety to performance reviews
To engage people, we:
- Promote participation in monthly safety meetings, campaigns, and conferences
- Provide dedicated working environment committees as structured forums to raise concerns, improvements, and promote health and safety awareness
To support crew health and resilience, we:
- Offer medical checks, 24/7 telemedicine, fitness facilities, and welfare programs and initiatives
- Provide training in mental health, stress, and resilience
- Monitor working hours and overtime to manage fatigue

At Höegh Evi, we uphold fairness, human rights, and sustainability across our supply chain—promoting ethical conduct, fair working conditions, and environmental responsibility.
We promote responsible supply chain practices through:
- Supplier Code of Conduct enforces global labour and safety standards
- Rigorous due diligence – screens partners for legal, financial, and ethical risks
- Risk-based audits assess human rights, safety, and ESG, triggering corrective actions when needed
- Dedicated managers oversee supplier engagement
- Committed to open communication and compliance with applicable legislation, including the UK Modern Slavery Act and the Norwegian Transparency Act.
- EcoVadis, an ESG rating platform for ESG screening of business partners
Local communities
Höegh Evi recognises its’ responsibility to respect human rights, engage openly with local communities, and minimise social and environmental impacts where we operate. Whether through our FSRUs, infrastructure projects or long-term partnerships, we work to ensure that communities are informed, involved, and protected from adverse effects.
We support local communities through:
- Environmental Policy guides local risk management via Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), public consultations, and collaboration with customers and regulators
- We prioritise vulnerable groups (e.g. coastal fishers) and mitigate impacts like noise and light to meet standards
- We support communities through long-term initiatives
- We assess and report impact via audits, feedback, and regular reviews to meet community and industry expectations
- As we grow in terminal infrastructure, we’re enhancing community impact oversight with transparent, policy-based governance
